TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-63. 30K WINCH ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT) (8) Remove two screws (18), lockwashers (19), and hydraulic motor (13) from brake housing (20). Discard lockwashers. (9) Remove preformed packing (21) from hydraulic motor (13). Discard preformed packing. (10) Place drain pan under gear end cover (6). (11) Remove plug (22) from gear end cover (6). (12) Position plug (22) in gear end cover (6). WARNING Drum weighs approximately 350 lbs (159 kgs). Attach a suitable lifting device prior to disassembly. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment. (13) Position drum (23) on workbench with brake housing (20) facing up. WARNING Ensure banding strap around 30K winch is removed carefully. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel. (14) Remove banding strap (7) from drum (23). (15) Remove 90-degree fitting (16) and 45-degree fitting (17) from brake housing (20). (16) Match mark brake housing (20) to motor end support (24). CAUTION Brake housing is under pressure. Loosen bolts evenly to relieve pressure. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment. (17) Loosen six screws (25) in brake housing (20). (18) Remove six screws (25), lockwashers (26), and brake housing (20) from motor end support (24). Discard lockwashers. 16-354
