TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-59. M1089 EIGHT-BANK VALVE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT) b. Disassembly. NOTE All pilot valve bodies are disassembled the same way. One pilot valve body shown. (1) Remove four bolts (1) and pilot valve body (2) from top directional valve body (3). (2) Remove preformed packing (4), three preformed packings (5), and seal plate (6) from pilot valve body (2). Discard preformed packings. (3) Loosen eight screws (7) on two solenoids (8). (4) Remove two solenoids (8) from pilot valve body (2). (5) Remove two preformed packings (9) from solenoids (8). Discard preformed packing. (6) Remove spool (10) from pilot valve body (2). (7) Perform steps (1) through (6) on remaining three pilot valve bodies. NOTE All solenoids are disassembled the same way. One solenoid shown. (8) Remove four screws (7) and access cover (11) from solenoid (8). (9) Remove valve body coil (12) and valve body pushbutton (13) from solenoid (8). (10) Remove performed packing (14) from valve body coil (12). Discard performed packing. 16-314
