TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-58. M1089 OUTRIGGER BEAM REPLACEMENT (CONT) CAUTION Ensure hydraulic tubes pass freely through cutouts in outrigger beam. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment. NOTE If the outrigger beam cannot be removed with ease, perform Step (4). If the outrigger beam can be removed with ease, perform Step (5). (4) Cut weld securing mounting pad (7) to support tube (8). NOTE Step (5) requires the aid of an assistant. (5) Remove outrigger beam (1) from support tube (8). b. Installation. WARNING Outrigger beam weighs approximately 175 lbs (80 kgs). Attach suitable lifting device prior to removal. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment. CAUTION Ensure hydraulic tubes pass freely through cutouts in outrigger beam. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment. NOTE • Left and right outrigger beams are installed the same way. Right side shown. • Step (1) requires the aid of an assistant. (1) Slide outrigger beam (1) in support tube (2). (2) Weld mounting pads (3) to support tube (2), if required. 16-310
