TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-40. M1089 MAST REPLACEMENT (CONT) b. Installation. NOTE Steps (1) through (10) require the aid of assistant. (1) Position mast (1) on turntable (2) with pivot shaft (3). (2) Install rivet eyebolt (4) in pivot shaft (3). WARNING Adhesive Sealant MIL-S-46163 can damage your eyes. Wear safety goggles when using; avoid contact with eyes. If sealant contacts eyes, flush eyes with water and get immediate medical attention. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel. (3) Apply sealing compound to threads of screw (5). (4) Position bushing (6) and washer (7) in rivet eyebolt (4) with screw (5). (5) Tighten screw (5) to 250-260 lb-ft (325-352 N·m). (6) Position erection cylinder (8) in mast (1) with pivot shaft (9). (7) Install rivet eyebolt (10) in pivot shaft (9). (8) Apply sealing compound to threads of screw (11). (9) Position bushing (12) and washer (13) in rivet eyebolt (10) with screw (11). (10) Tighten screw (11) to 240-260 lb-ft (325-352 N·m). 16-226
