TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-34. M1089 BOOM FLY SECTION REPLACEMENT/ADJUSTMENT (CONT) (13) Connect overload shut down cable eye (9) to screw (10). c. Adjustment. (1) Connect batteries (TM 9-2320-366-20-3). (2) Operate crane to extend and retract boom fly section (1) (TM 9-2320-366-10-1). (3) Hold machinists rule at outer end of boom mid section (2); obtain reading to determine high spot on boom fly section (1). (4) Operate crane to place high spot of boom fly section (1) directly under setscrew (3). (5) Adjust setscrew (3) for 0.06 in. (0.15 cm) maximum clearance between setscrew and high spot of boom fly section (1). (6) Tighten jam nut (4) on setscrew (3). d. Follow-On Maintenance. (1) Install boom sheave (TM 9-2320-366-20-4). (2) Install hook block assembly (TM 9-2320-366-20-4). (3) Perform crane load test (para 16-62). End of Task. 16-194
