TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-34. M1089 BOOM FLY SECTION REPLACEMENT/ADJUSTMENT (CONT) WARNING • Boom fly section weighs approximately 210 lbs (95 kgs). Attach a suitable lifting device prior to removal. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment. • Personnel must stand clear during lifting operation. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel. • Attach a guide rope to outer end of boom fly section to aid in stabilizing and controlling boom fly section during removal. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment. (6) Adjust cargo sling to balance boom fly section (9). NOTE Step (7) requires the aid of an assistant. (7) Remove boom fly section (9) from boom mid section (8). (8) Remove two screws (10) and wear pads (11) from boom fly section (9). 16-190
