Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 78, Appendix B) Wrench, Impact, Electric (Item 88, Appendix B) Socket Set, Impact (Item 58, Appendix B) Wrench, Set, Socket (Item 84, Appendix B) Wrench, Torque, 0-600 lb-ft (Item 97, Appendix B) Materials/Parts Nut, Self-Locking (8) (Item 211, Appendix F) Bolt (4) (Item 20, Appendix F) Grease, Automotive and Artillery (Item 33, Appendix C) Personnel Required (2) a. Removal. CAUTION When removing bolts, continuous removal of collars is mandatory. Failure to comply may result in seizing of collar to bolt. NOTE • Left and right side rear axle bogie shafts are removed the same way. Right side shown. • Steps (1) and (2) require the aid of an assistant. (1) Remove four collars (1) and bolts (2) from rear axle bogie shaft (3). Discard collars and bolts. (2) Remove four self-locking nuts (4), bolts (5), and rear axle bogie shaft (3) from frame rail (6). Discard self-locking nuts. 10-28
