TM 9-2320-366-20-4 7-630 Change 2 7-129. REAR INTERVEHICULAR 24 VDC (12 Pin) CABLE REPLACEMENT This task covers: a. Removal b. Installation c. Follow-On Maintenance INITIAL SETUP Equipment Conditions Batteries disconnected (para 7-57). Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 46, Appendix C) Goggles, Industrial (Item 15, Appendix C) Materials/Parts Ties, Cable, Plastic (Item 69, Appendix D) 8, Appendix G). Lockwashers (4) (Item 112, Appendix G) a. Removal. (1) Disconnect connector J53 (1) from connector P53R (2). (2) Remove four nuts (3), lockwashers (4), screws (5), and rear intervehicular 24 vdc cable (6) from vehicle. Discard self-locking nuts. b. Installation. (1) Install rear intervehicular 24 vdc cable (6) on vehicle with four screws (5), lockwashers (4), and nuts (3). (2) Connect connector J53 (1) to connector P53R (2). c. Follow-On Maintenance. Connect batteries (para 7-57). End of Task. WARNING Wear appropriate eye protection when working under vehicle due to the possibility of falling debris. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel NOTE • Note position of cover hinge and cable key prior to removal. • Remove plastic cable ties as required. NOTE • Cover will hinge and cable keying will be at 9 O’clock position for M1089. All other vehicles will hinge and cable keying will be at 12 O’clock position. • Install plastic cable ties as required.
