With a known good voltage regulator installed; if the voltage regulator output is not within normal range, the alternator is faulty. If the voltage regulator output is within normal range, the previous voltage regulator is faulty. Engine oil pressure indicator light illuminates. OIL PRESS gage operates. Engine starts.
