TM 9-2320-365-34-2 WARNING Alternator weighs approximately 50 lbs (23 kgs). The aid of an assistant is required to install alternator. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel. NOTE Step (3) requires the aid of an assistant. (3) Position alternator (5) on support bracket (2) with washer (6), screw (7), washer (8), and nut (9). (4) Position washer (10), screw (11), spacer (12), and self- locking nut (13) in alternator (5). (5) Tighten self-locking nut (13) to 44-55 lb-ft (60-76 N·m). (6) Tighten nut (9) to 18-22 lb-ft (24-30 N·m). (6.1) Loosen jam nut (13.1) on engine speed sensor (13.2). (6.2) Remove engine speed sensor (13.2) from flywheel housing (13.3). (6.3) Install fitting (13.4) in flywheel housing (13.3). (7) Position hub adapter (14) on crankshaft (15). Change 1 3-35
