(1.1) Lubricate drive shaft universal joint and slip yoke (TM 9- 2320-365-20-1). (1.2) Install gravel deflector and gravel deflector expansion (TM 9-2330-365-20-3). (2) Operate vehicle, checking for proper steering, braking, and listening for unusual noises (TM 9-2320-365-10). (3) Shut down engine (TM 9-2320-365-10). (4) Check front axle assembly and differential carrier for oil leaks. (5) After first 1000 miles of vehicle operation, tighten self- locking nuts on U-bolts, in 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) increments, to 390-510 lb-ft (529-692 N·m) in sequence. End of Task. 9-10 Change 1
