Either condition can normally corrted by rotating the advance flywhl adjusting ring (fig. 8-91). NOTE The advance ambly should be retarded slightly if the advance vari more than 2 d at P0 rpm when the oil psure drain button is dep�ed. This variance in- dicates the mhanical retard stop is not in phase with the hydraulic valve. (18) Push speed control stop switch to disengage dy current clutch. Turn counter, motor, and motor starter off. (19) en fteners and remove cover. (1) Install flywheel end fan drive shaft (6, fig. 3-æ) in injection automatic advance aembly (+). (2) Pition 01iginal shims (9) on end of inner ar- ing race (side opite bearing trade mark) of rear fan drive vel geahaft ball bearing (10). Measure total thickns of bearing ce and shim, from shim on inner race to face of ter race, with end play removed. Thickness should be from 0.7Y1 inch minimum to 0.7911 Inch maximum (fig. 3-ý). When total thickn· is more than 0.7911 inch, strip O. inch thick lamina- tion from the shim pack until the correct thickns is ) ) )
