(3) Remove piston rings from piston ((1) above). Scrape carbon from end gap and measure end gap. (4) Place rings in the specified ring gage (table 3-10) and measul'e end gap of oil rings as shown in figure 3-185). Replace rings not conforming to lim- its specified in the repair standards (table 3-11). Ring gages are identified according to ring size.
