Remove oil filter support (5). a. Using retaining ring pliers (item 81, WP 0176), remove retaining ring (6). b. Remove retainer (7). c. Remove and discard oil filter element gasket (8). d. Remove spring seat (9). e. Remove compression spring (10). f. Remove support (5). 3. Remove studs (11, 12) only if there is evidence of stripped threads or other damage. a.
