TM 9-2815-220-24 HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL WARNINGS, CAUTIONS, AND NOTES Pay attention to all warnings and cautions within the work packages. Ignoring a warning could cause death or injury to personnel. Ignoring a caution could cause damage to equipment. Notes contain facts to make the maintenance easier. Warnings, cautions, and notes always appear just above the work package step to which they apply. EXAMPLES: WARNINGS: Call attention to things that could kill or injure personnel. They are preceded by the word "WARNING" in bold face type and in a box. A warning icon is often presented along with the text. WARNING Air Pressure in excess of 30 psi (207 kPa) can injure personnel. Do not direct pressurized air at yourself or others. Use goggles or face shield. Some warnings are often used in a work package. In the procedure, they may be presented in an abbreviated version. All warnings in this manual appear in full description in the Warning Summary located just after the front cover. WARNING Air Pressure CAUTION CAUTIONS: Call attention to things or actions that could damage equipment. They are preceded by the word "Caution" in bold face type and underlined. Do not run engine longer than 10 minutes at 675-725 rpm without cooling fans installed. Damage to engine from overheating will occur. NOTE NOTES: Contain important facts or things to make maintenance easier. They are preceded by the word "Note" in bold face type. Engine leak test should be done before run-in. ix
