TM 9-2815-220-24 FAN DRIVE HOUSING BASE (DAMPER END) REPAIR 0170 00 THIS WORK PACKAGE COVERS: Removal, Cleaning, Inspection, Repair, and Installation INITIAL SETUP: Tools: General mechanic’s tool kit (item 121, WP 0176) Torque wrench, 0-175 foot-pounds (item 127, WP 0176) Mandatory Replacement Parts: Cotter pin (10) (item 48, WP 0175) O-ring (item 63, WP 0175) Expendable and Durable Items: Lubriplate (item 23, WP 0173) Sealant, RTV-1473 (item 33, WP 0173) Personnel Required: Track Vehicle Repairer (1) 63H10 Equipment Conditions: Engine on maintenance stand (WP 0130) Fan drive housing removed (WP 0169) REMOVAL 1. Remove fan drive housing base (1). a. Remove and discard ten cotter pins (2). b. Remove ten slotted plain nuts (3) with flat washers (4) securing base (1) to crankcase. c. Remove two screws (5) with flat washers (6) securing base (1) to crankcase. d. Remove base (1) from crankcase. NOTE CAUTION CAUTION 2 3 4 5 6 1 WP 0170 00-1
