NOTE Two of the nine self-locking nuts joining the two housings were previously removed with the lifting sling. a. Remove seven self-locking nuts (6) and seven flat washers (7) and separate housing (9) from housing (8). Discard self-locking nuts. 8. Remove three pipe plugs (32) and one pipe plug (33). Discard pipe plugs. 9. Remove spur gear shaft (34) from housing (8). a. Remove recessed washer (35) and bearing (36) from spur gear shaft (34). Discard bearing. 10.
