Remove 1. Remove plain nut (A) and lock washer attaching fuel injection pump drive coupler half to fuel injection pump spur gearshaft. Install 1. Install plain nut (A) and lock washer securing fuel injection pump drive coupler half to fuel injection pump spur gearshaft. Torque tighten as specified. Figure 6-162. Keep the splined coupler half with the coupler half that is on (or removed from) the fuel injection pump (fig. 6-252). Coupler halves are mated parts and must be kept together for a correct assembly.
