- Steel Toe Cap
- Moulders almost always have a protective toe insert, either a steel toe cap or a composite material toe cap which meets ANSI Z41 Class 75 for impact and compression resistance. ANSI Z41 Class 75 is a standard for testing toe caps to ensure that they will protect your feet from injury during your daily heavy-duty work.
- Synthetic Sole Construction
- The Molders Boot is constructed with a synthetic material sole which provides cushioning, chemical resistance, heat resistance and vibration absorbsion. The sole and heel are non-marking and abrasion resistant with a non-slip tread.
- Moisture Resistance
- The synthetic sole and natural leather upper provide moisture resistance. Many models of the Molder's Boots include a Dri-Lex / Dry-Core / Hyper-Dri / Gore-Tex type of lining to provide waterproof operation while allowing moisture to wick out from inside the boot.

- MIL-S-82245 provides for a mildew resistant upper fot molders shoes.
- Chemical Resistance
- MIL-S-82245 provides for resistance to chemicals. Molder's shoes soles and heels are jet-fuel resistant, oil-resistant and chemical resistant.
