CWU-27/P Flight Suit
Full-Body Garment Worn by US Military Aviators
The CWU-27/P flight suit is a full-body garment made from Nomex Fabric, worn while by US military aviators when flying military aircraft such as airplanes, gliders and helicopters. The CWU-27/P suit is lightweight and fire retardant. Compliance with the Berry Amendment is required for this clothing article. The flight suits are finished to specification YACL-WP PD 99-01 and manufactured from Solutions Dyed Nomex Fabric Spec Mil-C-83429B (previously MIL-C-83141A). The CWU-27/P is NIR Compliant with a comfortable and breathable design with a close and comfortable fit with an adjustable waist belt. The main front zipper is conveniently two-way operable. Storage is provided for mission items by six primary pockets.
The NATO Supply Group for clothing is NSG 84. Flight Suits for Men are classified in NATO Supply Class NSC 8415 for special purpose clothing. Flight Suits for Women are classified in NATO Supply Class NSC 8410 for women's outerwear.
CWU-27/P Flight Suits for Men
These flight suits are produced from first quality solution dyed Nomex fabric and Nomex thread. They are manufactured to military specification YACL-WP PD 99-01. They are worn by United States Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Army, US Navy personel, Homeland Security and other Governmental agencies. The flight suits are inspected to ensure they meet the strict US Defense Force specification and standards.
