- During The Start Of Construction, The Cor Investigated The Proposed Cov Room And Surrounding Area With The Building Engineer. It Was Found That The Thermostat Located Near The Proposed Doorway Is Not Connected To The Hvac System And The Communication Cable For The Thermostat Terminates In The Computer Room And Not Connected To The Hvac System. The Hvac Vav Box That Serves The Immediate Area, Labeled 7N-19 Has Three Supply Drops Off Of It. These Drops Serve Part Of The Adjacent Reception Area, The Computer Room And The Proposed Cov Room. With The Cov Room Being Insulated With Sound Attenuation Batting, The Room Temperature Could Exceed Comfortability Ranges. Therefore Based On The Information That Was Gathered, The Proposed Cov Room Should Have A Separate Vav Control And A Dedicated Thermostat. Also With The Addition Door Being Installed, The Room Does Not Have An Illuminated Exit Sign. Gsa Will Furnish The Sign That The Contractor Will Install. The Local Ssa Office Director Has Requested That Two 3-Way Light Switches Be Installed Near Each Door. In Addition, The Following Items Were Left Out Of The Base Contract: Data Cable Runs From The Data Boxes, Punch Down To The Lan Room. The Base Contract Only Included Data Boxes With Pull Strings. An Additional Light Fixture - For A Total Of 5. The Base Contract Had 4. A Simplex L1000 Key Pad Lock For New Door. The Proposal From The Contractor Is Based On: Installing One (1) Government Furnished Exit Sign, To Be Installed Over New Door. Furnish And Install Two (2) 3-Way Lighting Switches, To Be Position At Both Doors. Adding Hvac Vav Box, Diffuser&Move Thermostat For Dedicated Room Control.
